Public Relations

OLLI at UVa has recently launched a revitalized public awareness program to better acquaint the senior adults in this community with the learning and intellectual programs that we offer. We hope to reach all who might be interested in our program, including the many newcomers to the area, the seasoned adults who are interested in lifelong learning, and the many citizens in our retirement communities.

OLLI at UVa has a need for four to six people to work, write, and create press releases and similar informational pieces. If you enjoy writing or have other communication experiences, so much the better; however, previous experience is not necessary. Your interest and enthusiasm in helping OLLI at UVa grow is what we're looking for. If you would like to help, please call Tom Grzymala at 434-293-8882 or email him at tom@fa-llc.net.

Course Coordinators

Coordinators act as assistants to the instructors, ensuring that announcements are made and handouts are distributed. Not only are coordinators essential to the smooth functioning ofOLLI at UVa, they will also have the benefit of becoming better acquainted with both faculty and classmates. As a coordinator, you are not required to operate AVequipment. If you would like to volunteer to be the coordinator in one or more of your courses, please note it on your Registration Form or contact Marilynn Philippi at marilynnphilippi@aol.com.

OLLI Outings

This active committee plans trips and lectures for all OLLI-at-UVa members. We always need new volunteers with fresh ideas to join our existing group. We need many hands to take care of the numerous details involved with these activities. The work of this committee not only provides enjoyment for our members but also enhances our educational experience.

Editorial Committee

If you enjoy proofreading copy, please offer your services. We proof both the catalogs and the newsletters. Many eyes make light work. Join us.
